Twenty-four
Last year I wrote a year-in-review for my twenty-third birthday. And now it's time for another!
In the last year, I have:
- visited Chiang Mai - Here for my birthday last year, until just after NYD. Came back here during summer to regain fitness after 3 months off, and now I'm back here again for the European winter
- visited Phuket - my parents came to visit so we went down to Phuket and relaxed in the sun
- visited Bangkok - With my parents, and the odd night for layovers
- visited Kuala Lumpur - rented a 32nd floor apartment for a week and then another place with my friend Jet
- visited Bali - Stayed in a villa with friends. Threw a pool party for 150+ people
- visited Tokyo - Stayed in a bunch of capsule hotels
- visited Kyoto - Took the Shinkansen here to travel around Japan a little
- visited Osaka - Mainly to fly out of Kansai airport, but I hung out in a coffee shop of an Australian expat for a few days
- visited Seoul - To visit Pieter and his girlfriend at their apartment
- visited Busan - With Pieter and Marc for a quick break away
- visited the UK for 3 months - I went back home to visit family. Ran a lot, raced a couple of times
- Hiked up to Doi Suthep on New Year's Day 2019
- PBd my half marathon time down to 1:30:15
- PBd my BADGERS Atherstone 10k time by 1 minute 30 seconds
- PBd my marathon time (unofficially) by 25 minutes
- Completed the first 55km ULTRALONDON ultramarathon in 5:27:30
- Bought a Boardman AIR road bike in order to continue triathlon
