A short while ago I wrote about my beloved Nexus 5. Since then, I’ve switched to a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. My Nexus 5 was still working but I kept experiencing monumental slow-downs and it became unusable. I wanted to sort my phone situation out before I leave so I asked around and my dad recommended the phone he had.
The Note 4X is a Chinese phone, not particularly popular in the UK but features surprisingly good specs for a low price. I bought it from a UK seller on eBay for £134.
It has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. I wanted 64GB but they were all sold out. The phone comes with dual-sim capability, the main reason I wanted a new phone anyway. This will allow me to keep my UK SIM and get a local SIM in each country I visit.
I’ve only been using it for a short amount of time so it’s hard to give a full review but I’m impressed with the speed. I thought my Nexus 5 was still fast but this thing is lightning. I really like the fingerprint sensor. The camera seems to struggle in low light. Battery is phenomenal.
